Think how broke you’d feel if you converted to LED turn signals...

I bet my 13-year-old Honda Accord is worth more than all your cars put together.

I’m going to. The housings are perfect for me to get temperature-matched LED headlights and LED turn signals. Would be $100 for a full front end conversion.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

I think that technically means the car is totaled.

I’m a bit curious, what do your neighbors think of your fleet?

You should probably just cut your losses and move on.

So far it’s deafening indifference but I REALLY need to get that Mustang gone.

Too bad it’s not the model I want or I would do you a favor. Good luck.
Edit: I'll give $50 for the newest car. That is a massive profit.

I know you’re joking about your $1 car, but this is something that has gotten to me lately. On an old car that can no longer be found in junk yards the little parts that are model and year specific can eat you up a little at a time even if the car is well covered by reproduction companies. My Camaro’s heater blower switch was bad so I went to the catalogs to get one ordered. Forty fucking dollars for a simple three position mechanical switch. Now if Chevy trucks or full sizers had used the same switch I could have grabbed one from a yard, but of course it is specific to 70-81 Camaros. Same with wiper arms and just a host of other piddling crap. Argh.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you want for it?

I've been following the 1 buck Sentra, and I'm curious. What did you do about registration/insurance for your journey back home?

I added the car to my insurance with Progressive’s website on my phone, the seller and I went to the DMV and got the title notarized and I bought a 30 day tag

$5k, for a 140k mile ‘05 Mustang V6 in decent condition with no mechanical problems. I can’t believe I’m having this much of an issue selling it when my salvage-title wrecked and beat up ‘98 Civic sedan base model fetched $2000 when I sold it, and then $2000 again when the guy that bought it from me sold it.

Honestly, that’s not bad. If I were closer to Kansas I’d pick it up.

For real. I even fixed all of the common failure points such as the door handles (paint-matched replacements), plastic thermostat housing (replaced with a new one after the old one failed), radiator (leaked, so I replaced it with a new one), and converted it from the 2005-style TB coolant circulation to the 2006-2009 style which has no coolant going through the TB (more power when the engine is warm), and replaced the rubber wheel with a leather/aluminum one from a Pony Package car. And nobody will buy the stupid thing.

Looks like you’ve done a lot of work. I don’t remember if it’s manual or an auto.

The saddest muscle car ever, a V6 automatic convertible. The problem is the stigma of it being a “bad Mustang” instead of it being a good-looking reasonably exciting “normal” car. Compare it to a GT500 and it’s as boring as they come, but compare it to a Camry or some soulless appliance and it’s just fine. Problem is people do the former, and expect concours-level condition (has a couple minor dings)

But it’s 11 years old, and it looks to be in good shape.
